Peter Hertzman

Peter Hertzman is the founder of the Health Access Agency GmbH, based in Zurich. He has more than 30 years’ experience in various international executive leadership positions in Market Access and Health Economics within the pharmaceutical and biotechnological industry. Peter has been leading Market Access teams integrating key access functions in Pricing & Reimbursement, HEOR, Government Affairs, Field Market Access, and Media, Advocacy in close collaboration with sales, marketing, medical and R&D. During the last 10 years, he has been instrumental in securing many successful product launches within, for example, oncology, inflammation, RA, CV/Met and metabolic diseases. This work included direct interactions and negotiations with payer and HTA-related organizations. Peter holds a research degree (Philosophy Licentiate) in Economics from the University of Lund with focus on Health Economics and is the author of a number of publications within Health Economics and Market Access.

Keith Tolley

Keith Tolley is Director of Tolley Health Economics Ltd., and has worked in health economics and market access for over 20 years in the UK and internationally. He worked as an Academic Researcher and Lecturer and as a Health Economist for pharmaceutical companies and consultancies. Keith has broad experience in the market access issues facing the pharmaceutical industry today, as well as specific knowledge of the UK market. In particular, he has worked with evidence needs for the National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) and the Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) in Scotland. Keith has also worked on reimbursement and pricing issues for international markets. Keith is a Health Economics Assessor on the Review Board of the SMC, and the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group (AWMSG). He has considerable experience in preparing and writing Health Technology (HTA) submissions for NICE, SMC, AWMSG and NCPE (Irish HTA). Keith has a BA and an MPhil from the University of Leeds, and has published extensively in health economics and is the author of two health economics books and several edited books.

Timm Volmer

Timm Volmer is Managing Partner at SmartStep Consulting, a company he founded in 2010 in Germany. He has an in-depth knowledge of the influence of change in the health policy environment with more than 17 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Timm has worked in a variety of management roles, working in Market Access, Marketing & Communications, New Contract Models and Sales, Strategic Planning, change management and cost management. He has served as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the journal “Health Economics & Quality Management” (Thieme) and Section Editor of “Pricing & Reimbursement” of the European Journal of Health Economics (Springer). He was a lecturer at both Bielefeld and Fresenius Universities in Germany. Timm received his MPH from Harvard University, his MBA from the University of Hamburg and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the School of Veterinary Medicine Hannover.

Paul Miller

Paul Miller is a member of the independent NICE Appraisal Committee in the UK that makes recommendations to the NHS for the reimbursement of new medicines with international impact. He is the owner of Miller Economics Ltd. He has held Global Payer, Market Access, Pricing & Reimbursement roles for major brands within respiratory, inflammation, cardiovascular and oncology for leading Pharma companies. He continues to be an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham. He is a lead author for Cochrane reviews and has published extensively in scientific journals. Paul will bring practical expertise and experience to support teams by delivering clear and realistic assessment of the payer, market access and pricing challenges facing pharmaceutical and medical device products; and outlining the evidence needs and payer mitigation strategies that could enhance the value of the product. Paul has an MSc in Health Economics from University of York and a PhD from Loughborough University, UK.

Katarzyna Kolasa, PhD (Dr hab)

Katarzyna Kolasa has more than 20 years of academic and occupational experience in the healthcare sector. In the past, she has worked in both global and regional Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR). She led Market Access Teams in Central Eastern European (CEE) and the Nordic Region, and in the last four years, she has acquired experience with the pricing and reimbursement challenges in the field of medical devices. Her extensive knowledge in the field of health economics was acquired at The University of York, University of Lund, and The University of Bergen, as well as during International Doctoral Courses in Health Economics and Policy organized by the Swiss School of Public Health.

Katarzyna was nominated by the Ministry of Science to represent Poland in the COST Action CA17117, COST Association “Towards an International Network for “Evidence-based Research in Clinical Health Research”. Since January 2019, she is working on the establishment of Global Special Interest Group for Digital Health at ISPOR.

Katarzyna Kolasa reviews manuscripts submitted to such prestigious journals as Health Policy, Value in Health, Expert Review of Pharmacoeconomics & Outcomes Research, International Journal for Equity in Health and International Journal of Technology Assessment.She holds a PhD Degree in Health Economics from the SGH Warsaw School of Economics, a Master’s Degree from the University of Gdansk and Postgraduate training, Statistics and Econometrics for Business from the University of Warsaw. She has authored 40 scientific IF publications in the field of health technology assessment and pharmacoeconomics.

Sven Tops

Sven Tops is the Managing Director of HCC Healthcare Consulting, a company he founded in 2018 in Brussels.

He has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for the past 20 years, in Sales and Marketing and Market Access. He has been involved in international payer research and value messaging and in submission and contract negotiations in the Benelux region. He has been a member of the ISPOR Leadership Group on HTA and Good Research Practices.

Sven has experience in a broad range of therapeutic domains: diabetes, cardiology, neurology, orphan diseases, oncology, dermatology, immunology and cell therapy. He has in depth knowledge in Market Research, Medical Writing, Health Economics, Budget Impact Analysis, Innovative Contracting, Complex Stakeholder Management (both clinical and institutional), payer research and mock negotiations, Delphi panel research, and cost research.

Sven Tops holds a Master’s Degree in Health Economics from the Vlekho Business School, Brussels.

Côme de Sauvebeuf

Côme de Sauvebeuf, General Manager of Biodimet Conseils, is a Pharmacist and Lecturer in Market Access and Health Economics at two French universities. After holding various positions in public hospitals, notably in clinical research, he joined the French Medicines Agency, ANSM, where he was Project Manager in charge of regulatory advice for the registration of cardiovascular drugs (national or European procedures). His expertise is in both European Regulatory Affairs and French Market Access.

Since 2006 he has been conducting and reviewing assignments related to strategic consulting in drug or medical devices development, regulatory strategy, and contributing to market access assignments (reimbursement applications, pharmacoeconomics), including orphan drugs and early market access.

He is a Doctor of Pharmacy and former in-house Hospital Resident in Pharmacy. He holds a Masters’ Degree in Regulatory affairs in the European Union, Applied Clinical Research and Medical Statistics at the University of Paris.

Oriol Solà-Morales

Oriol Solà-Morales built his career in the planning, policy and decision-making environment, participating not only micromanagement, but in the meso and macro policy areas as well. He was a Policy Advisor to two Ministers of Health in Spain.

He held managing positions in healthcare planning and hospital management and was CAHTA’s (Regional HTA) Director from 2007 to 2011. He served as Innovation Director in Sagessa, a University Hospital Trust, dealing with the drug and devices portfolio, technology purchase, and managed entry schemes. In addition, he has been involved in venture capital and start-ups.

In 2011, Oriol founded Health Innovation Technology Transfer (HITT), a biotech consultancy specialising in Market Access and Technology Transfer. He is an Assistant Professor in Health Economics at the Universitat Ramon Llull -IQS, teaching in several national and international courses.

Oriol is an MD specialising in Internal Medicine. He earned his MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), and a PhD from Universitat Rovira I Virgili (URV).

Eleonora Aiello

Eleonora Aiello has more than 17 years’ experience within the Health Economics & Outcomes Research and Market Access arena in international pharmaceutical companies (Argentina and other LATAM countries – Peru, Colombia, Chile and Venezuela). Since 2015, Eleonora has been working as a consultant to the pharmaceutical industry, and as a lecturer and trainer in Health Economics & Market Access in several academic and private institutions. She has experience in Public Health, Real-world Evidence, Pricing & Reimbursement, Health Technology Assessment, Payers Engagement (both public and private), Market Access & HEOR writing, and training. Eleonora is a Past President of ISPOR Argentina Chapter (2009-2011). She has published several studies as an author and co-author in the Health Economics field. She is a Pharmacist (University of Buenos Aires, Argentina – Gold Medal awarded), and holds a Master in Business Administration (University of CEMA, Argentina) and a Master in Health Economics & Pharmacoeconomics (University of Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain).
